Dear Brothers and Sisters:

Guidelines for Interviewing Youth

Bishops have a sacred responsibility to lead, teach, and inspire youth. Effective personal interviews are one important way they do this. These interviews provide opportunities to help youth become disciples of the Savior, repent of transgressions, and live the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Those who conduct interviews with youth should prepare themselves spiritually to be guided by the Holy Ghost. As part of that preparation, we encourage them to carefully review the guidelines for interviews and counseling in chapter 7 of Section 7.1.7 of that chapter, “Guidelines for Youth Interviews,” has been updated in the and will soon be updated online and in the Gospel Library. Also, the language in question 7 for limited-use recommends has been simplified.

To help ensure that youth and parents are aware of the topics and questions covered in these interviews, the bishop should share the with them before the first interview.

Generally, children younger than 11 are not interviewed except in preparation for baptism or to be sealed to their parents in the temple. These interviews are different in nature from youth interviews, and parents are typically present.

Thank you for your faithful efforts to help strengthen youth spiritually and to prepare them to make and keep sacred covenants.

From 7.1.7, “Guidelines for Youth Interviews”

Parents have the primary responsibility for teaching their children the gospel of Jesus Christ. They help their children grow spiritually and prepare to make and keep sacred covenants. Parents also counsel with their children regarding worthiness and help them repent and improve. Bishops and other Church leaders support parents in these efforts.

As a young woman prepares to become part of the Young Women organization, and as a young man prepares to receive the Aaronic Priesthood, the bishop shares with youth and their parents the following information about interviews. He could do this as part of the annual Temple and Priesthood Preparation meeting or at other times as needed.

Bishops and their counselors have a sacred responsibility to lead, teach, and inspire youth. Effective personal interviews are one important way they do this. During these interviews, the bishop and his counselors teach youth about becoming disciples of the Savior. They help youth consider how well they are following the Savior and His teachings. Interviews should be uplifting spiritual experiences.

I went yesterday , June 29, not realizing it was the last days prior to the changes in the FDA regulations. It was PACKED!! But, they did an amazing job....efficient, organized, kept the lines moving, WITH great customer service intact. I never felt rushed or brushed aside. The gentleman who helped me at the counter was very helpful, letting me know the good deals so I didn’t spend any extra that I didn’t have to, explaining the products, while being friendly and easy to talk to and ask questions to. Even though the place was jammed , he treated me like I was the only person he saw that day and we had all the time in the world. Their prices, and especially clearance items, were fantastic. I’m also enrolled in their Compassion Progrsm, so I get an added 40% discount. If I had paid full price for all the items it would have cost $165 , but with clearance cost and compassion discount I paid $63 (prior to taxes) . The taxes are killer, but that’s not their fault, it’s the government’s, what I call, canna-phobia , that makes pot products so highly taxed right now. I need predominantly CBD products for pain relief......I deal with chronic pain, heart and lung failure and am in complete kidney failure requiring dialysis every other day, I’m 50 years old and and have been chronically ill for over twenty years. Life is not a peach, but by God, without medical cannabis there would be no life at all. So, I’m very appreciative to T.A. For their affordable medicine, and attentative customer service. I need to add this one last thing......the security guard carried my oxygen tank up and down the flight of stairs without me even asking, a young man offered me his chair so I could sit while I waited (that blew me away) , and the clerk went all the way out and around though the lobby just to open the door for me to help me out of the sales area, without me even asking......that’s the kind of people who work there and patronize this establishment. Check this place out, it’s got good vibes all around.

I have been coming here for a while and i was so excited to see all the sales. Everyone was so helpful and informative. It was pretty busy right before closing but well worth the wait. I got a great deal and I'll be back for more before the first of July.

Vernissage 14. Mai, 18 Uhr mit anschliessendem Apéro

14. bis 18. Mai 2018,Haupthalle, ETH Hauptgebäude, Rämistrasse 101, Zürich

Rapid ice melt has been profoundly shaping the alpine region in recent years. It has become an omnipresent and tangible phenomenon, and an iconic symbol of ongoing climate change. Over the past three years, the Chair of Landscape Architecture of Professor Christophe Girot and students of ETH Zurich have been documenting the melting landscapes of the Morteratsch glacier region. Using analogue photography as well as submersible contact microphones, some large- and middleformat photographs and sounds have been recorded. The impressive sounds of the moving ice mass contrast with the eerie silence of the black and white pictures. The selection of works shown in this exhibition turn the evanescent beauty of the glacier into a strong sensory experience; they thus become the meaningful witnesses of the rapid changes to come in the alpine landscape.
